Love the beautiful charm of this book。

I always loved fables and fairy tales growing up。 Having my mom tell me a few before bed or just looking through a classic book that had plenty of cute ones, which are always memorable and end with a hidden message。 At that time, I didn't know much about that, just how much I loved each cute tale。 However, as a grownup, I feel that those style tales played a role in understanding the outcomes of a choice and what can happen。No matter, what one thinks of these charming tales, I must say that his I always loved fables and fairy tales growing up。 Having my mom tell me a few before bed or just looking through a classic book that had plenty of cute ones, which are always memorable and end with a hidden message。 At that time, I didn't know much about that, just how much I loved each cute tale。 However, as a grownup, I feel that those style tales played a role in understanding the outcomes of a choice and what can happen。No matter, what one thinks of these charming tales, I must say that his book, Fables & Fairy Tales to Cross Stitch is full of joyful colors and memories of my childhood favorites。 Of course, a few I've never heard of。 However, it doesn't really matter, since the patterns inside are just as cute and tell a story worth imagining。 Plus, it makes me want to research and find out the fable or fairy tale that went with this design。 The book is not just a beauty to the eyes, but the patterns of each are very nice layout on the page。 It's truly, easy to depict the necessary colors of thread, the design that is being portrayed in the image through a very clear and large image, as well as with some final results of the complete stitched pattern。 The stitches are even there for the pattern。 Allowing one to use specific stitches to complete each part and get the same results as one sees in the book。 Also, with many to choose from, one can be creating a stitched projects with memorable tales, like the 3 Little Pigs, City Mice and Country Mice, Little Red, Jack, and the Bean Stock, and so much more! Each as adorable as the tales that are read to children。The final design inside the book is shared on an object for some considerable ways to add flair to a new product or what one can do with the design。 Mostly, each final result is on the left side of the book, as the main pattern for creating them is on the right page。 They basically cover a full two pages, making it easy to open up and keep an eye on the final appearance, while knowing the stitches, colors, and what part of the design you are working on。 Lastly, I'd like to say that the one thing about this lovely book is that it may not be the easiest for beginners, but if you know embroidery and plenty of the common stitches, well this is going to be a piece of cake! However, it's not too hard to catch up and know what you need to do。 The patterns have no words to follow or descriptions, it's just images that have the small piece of color and stitching style one must use。 Though it's a simple hobby to learn and with this book there are so many cute patterns one can make over and over again。"I have been given a free copy of Fables & Fairy Tales to Cross Stitch in exchange for my honest opinion" 。。。more

The patterns in fables and fairy tales to cross stitch are very pretty and easy to follow。 The colors and symbols are both located in the pattern and in floss guide at the bottom of each page。 I think these projects are best for for a baby's nursery。 As a person that cross stitches, I would prefer less straight stitching/outlining。 The patterns in fables and fairy tales to cross stitch are very pretty and easy to follow。 The colors and symbols are both located in the pattern and in floss guide at the bottom of each page。 I think these projects are best for for a baby's nursery。 As a person that cross stitches, I would prefer less straight stitching/outlining。 。。。more

More delightful patterns from Véronique Enginger。 While this contains some French nursery rhymes that are unfamiliar to me, it only makes me eager to learn them! So many of these patterns would be great for gifts for children/new mothers。

This is a fabulous cross stitch book! Great patterns that are easy to read along with great pictures。 The patterns are of fairy tales, fables and French nursery rhymes。 They are fun to follow。 Not very difficult, so most of them would be for the intermediate stitcher, although the beginner would find some that are easy to do。 Another fabulous thing in this book are the ways to finish projects。 There are some great examples too。 I was very impressed with this book。 And I highly recommend this to This is a fabulous cross stitch book! I LOVE this book。 This is my favorite cross stitch book ever。 There are so many designs and they are all incredibly charming。 There are patterns for just about every fairy tale or fable you can think of, from "The Tortoise and the Hare" to "Beauty and the Beast"。 I have marked at least 30 patterns I want to stitch。 I have already pulled fabric for some, I'm so excited to start。 I also love how the book includes instructions on how to finish projects in the style displayed in the model photos。 Th I LOVE this book。 This is my favorite cross stitch book ever。 There are so many designs and they are all incredibly charming。 There are patterns for just about every fairy tale or fable you can think of, from "The Tortoise and the Hare" to "Beauty and the Beast"。 I have marked at least 30 patterns I want to stitch。 I have already pulled fabric for some, I'm so excited to start。 I also love how the book includes instructions on how to finish projects in the style displayed in the model photos。 There are instruction on how to make a tote bag, a doll, pennant, bookmark, and more。 It even includes patterns to cut out fabric。 The finishing section is a great addition。 I do have two issues with this book, though。 First of all, the charts are not in 10x10 blocks。 They are just big grids。 Not terrible, but a bit harder to follow。 Also, my bigger issue is that there is no stitch count on the charts。 As I said, I was pulling fabric for charts and noticed that I actually had to count the blocks on the grid to figure out the stitch count。 Very tedious, especially when you are excited to start something。 But, the patterns are so great that those issues are in no way a deal breaker。 I highly recommend this book if you like french-style patterns。 Especially if you are a fairy tale fan。 **I received this copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review** 。。。more

Fables and Fairy Tales to Cross-stitch is a nicely-produced book of retro themed patterns。 Each pattern includes a stitched example and a variety of finishing techniques are demonstrated。 Patterns are clearly marked and easy to follow。 The designs are stitched with DMC threads, which is convenient and known to most cross-stitchers。 Someone decorating a nursery or a crafty grandparent would find this book very useful。

Loved this book! Great patterns and I loved that there was a little bit of background of the story to go with for each。 My kids will love the things that I can make with these!
